United Cinemas embrace Vista Cloud’s capabilities to enhance their Moviegoer Engagement
United Cinemas were spending hours every week to put together moviegoer newsletters for each of their 9 sites across Australia and New Zealand. For Head of Content & Programming, Nick Scott, whose role spans a range of responsibilities at United, time is the most valuable resource. On top of the time-consuming process of creating each communication in their previous software, the challenge of sourcing official film imagery and accurate film information meant United were burning valuable time on simple email campaigns.
United recently adopted Vista Cloud, helping to further drive their moviegoer engagement, and with the addition of Movio Cinema EQ, these campaigns now take United a fraction of the time.
“What used to take me 5, 6, 7 hours every week, I can now do in half an hour.”
Not only are United saving an immense amount of time with the ease and efficiency of Movio Cinema EQ, but they can now turn their attention to new opportunities for their moviegoer engagement.
Personalisation, for example, allows United to produce communications tailored to individual moviegoers through features such as dynamic content, and integration with Vista Loyalty. With MovieXchange integration, they can now find studio-official assets and film information with ease, eliminating previous concerns of tracking down film posters with the correct release dates for Australia or sourcing accurate film data.
After just a few months of using Vista Cloud, United are excited to explore new opportunities unlocked by the move to Vista Cloud, such as the use of Customer Journeys to enrich and improve their Loyalty offering.
Moving to Vista Cloud
“The move from 5.0.12 to Vista Cloud was seamless,” Nick Scott said. “One day we switched off the old system. The next day we switched on the new one.” Considering the small scale of United’s team, they were pleased to handle the transition so easily across all nine of their sites across two countries.
Since moving to Vista Cloud, United have noted many improvements, including the added benefit of stability. “We’ve had internet provider issues,” Nick Scott explained, “now, even if the internet drops out for a site, our customers can continue purchasing tickets online without issue.”
With their new high-quality moviegoer communications capabilities, time-saving solutions, and tools to drive admissions and revenue, United have embraced Vista Cloud and look forward to further enhancing their moviegoer engagement.
